Thick metal plate welding

Nowadays, fiber laser has been widely used in the welding of various metal thick plates. Compared with the traditional CO2 laser welding process, fiber laser welding process has obvious advantages, which is mainly due to the lower reflection coefficient of metal materials to fiber laser with wavelength of 1070 nm. High power fiber laser has obvious advantages in welding high reflection coefficient metal materials such as aluminum and copper. The high brightness characteristic of fiber laser can significantly reduce the sensitivity of welding process to focus position, so as to reduce the difficulty of realizing high-quality welding. Other application examples of optical fiber laser welding of thick plate metal materials include full penetration welding of transmission components and deep penetration welding of large thickness steel plates in shipbuilding, oil pipeline and other industries.
